Trough the years my camera bag grew out of the joints. With two Nikon D800 bodies and 6 objectives I need to make difficult choises before leaving home for a walk.<\/p>\n

Beside the essential prime objectives 28 mm f:1.8, 50mm f:1.8 and the 85mm f:1.8. I use mostly my 24-70 mm f:2.<\/p>\n

and my 70-200 f:2.8. Birdwatching needs my 300mm f:4 combined with an 2x extendor.<\/p>\n

The Nikon D800 has no presets for landscapes, sport or night photography. The owner needs to understand the camerasettings for the scene in front. <\/p>\n

Capturing a beautiful scene is not always easy. The camera doesn’t see what a human eye sees. Lucky you got your brains to think how to pimp that scene. A few tricks can help you in the right direction. <\/p>\n

First thing first. You can’t take a sharp picture in dark conditions of a moving subject, even if your camera handle iso value above 200.000. You need light! Imagine your camera as a watertap and the bucket of water your photo. Increasing the pressure on the tap will fill up your bucket faster.<\/p>\n

The more you open the tap the more the bucket will be filled. So the water level will be low with a low pressure an a small tap opening. Your photo will be dark or underexposed. On the other way the bucket will overflow when you open the tap fully with a maximum pressure. Your picture is overexposed.<\/p>\n

Imagine you got a nice balance between opening and pressure, now you can play with the time you open the tap.<\/p>\n

To fill a bucket to a wanted level, you need to play with the pressure, the opening and the time.<\/p>\n

In photography you play a bit the same way with the iso sensitivity, the diafragma opening and the exposure time.<\/p>\n
